Hi, I have been playing this game since the beginning Season 12 and I have been doing well. I just need some tips about these things.

-Which guys should I train and how should I train them.

How do I beat the Northern Celtics? That is the team that is 2nd place in the Big 8 in my league. That is where my only loss came from and we have one more meeting this season and I am afraid I will lose home court advantage and face them in the playoffs.

-Any other additional tips would help. Also I am 2,000 dollars in debt so I need help.

The sticky titled "Guide to BuzzerBeater + FAQ" at the top of the Help folder should answer most of your questions.

As for how to beat your opponent, focus on your strengths and his weakness. If he doesn't have any glaring weaknesses, Man to Man will most likely be your best choice for defense. Taking a quick look at your games, it doesn't look like you've been managing your enthusiasm well. It might be a little too late to get it up high in time for the playoffs, but as a general rule you should be playing "take it easy" against teams you will easily beat and teams you will probably lose big to. Play "normal" if you think it's a close match and your enthusiasm should be enough to put you over the top. Be very careful using "crunch time" because it has a negative effect on future games. For instance, if you have two or three crucial games back to back, it's probably not a good idea to crunch time the first one.

It doesn't look like you've spent that much in transfers or arena upgrades. If I may ask, how did you get yourself in debt?

Ouch. Yeah that ought to do it. And from the looks of your attendance, it looks like you experimented with really high prices at the last pricing update. An advanced trainer should be effective enough and cost you about $12k - $14k per week.

2 grand in debt isn't too bad, but certainly the money you are paying your trainer is too much. You should fire him immediately and either just go with a level 1 guy until you get back into the black, or hire a much cheaper trainer. You aren't gonna go bankrupt until you are 500 grand in the hole, which is a long way off. You can train FT for two weeks and then GS which should help you in the playoffs. You don't need anything more than a level 1 guy to train those things. It will improve your team's performance on the court for your playoff run, and save you 50k+/wk.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

You will continue to go into debt every week unless you fire him. It's like a band-aid - it's easier if you just rip it off as fast as possible get it over with rather than prolong the pain.

$55k is way too much for a your current situation. My suggestion: Keep him until the last training update before the playoffs, sell him but don't replace him until the new season starts and just train stamina/free throws for the playoffs/off season so that the level 1 trainer won't hurt.
