I have been training Pressure all season now for the PG/SG positions, and for the last 5 weeks i have gotten my starting SG 48+ minutes and yet he STILL has not popped in Outside Defence...

And i have another guy who has now had 4 weeks of 48+ minutes and he also hasnt popped.

Is my trainer broken or is there something else i am missing here, because every other thing i have trained has got a pop every 2-3 weeks...5-6 weeks per pop is just ridiculous and i am gonna have to stop training Pressure if the results are this crappy.

Any help/advice appreciated, thanks.

First of all what age are your trainees?
Second are they the correct height for SG/PG?
Third OD is one of the skills that is harder to train then others but this really depends on the age of the player.

One is 20, the other is 19.

And they are both around 6'5.

Both are not near soft capping in OD either

I would probably expect a pop next week. According to the training speed thread it takes 3-4 weeks to pop for an 18/19 year old with a level 5 trainer. A few factors come into play, the players most probably started at low sublevels, 6'5 isn't that short and OD training is faster if they are shorter. Finally i'm not sure if you have a lower level trainer as this would also have an effect.

Training speed also depends on the level different between the core skills. E.g. If your trainee's OD is prominent, and the other core skills, like handing and passing, are very low in level. It will be very difficult for this trainee to pop in his OD.
