Against a 2-3 zone you need to play an outside focused offence. So either Motion or Run and Gun, it depends alot on the skillsets of your players. To play either of those you need guys to be able to knock down outside jumpshots. They will be open, but still need to be able to make them.

As far as a defence to go against Push the ball. I would lean towards man to man unless your opponent is very unbalanced. Even then I personally would still stick with man defence.

I will have a look at your team and your opponents ratings and add more if there is something the stands out.

Cheers and good luck!

Hi, can you give me a hand, playing the Maggots who have beaten me this season.

This is the 3rd time in 4 seasons I've made the final but yet to get up to Div 2. Can you help me with how you would recommend I play him?

Thanks
Brett

You reckon maybe some run and gun offense than?

Yeah hopefully can pull this one off? Trying man to man defence but unsure of offense though.

Thanks for your reply. Awaiting your advice.

I agree a run and gun offence is probably your best hope. It looks like you are the underdog but hopefully you can make it close. On defence I would go with man to man depending on how your individuals match up.

Good luck!

If their offense is motion or run and gun, then I suggest you use 3-2 zone defense. 1-3-1 zone is also ok but you will lose many rebounds.
Btw your inside is superior than your outside, so why don't you use Look Inside??? In addition, your opponent's inside defense is worse than his outside defense, so it'd be better to use Look Inside (or Low Post) and get the maximum out of your players. In fact, I insist that you use Look Inside. I'm pretty sure this will be a better choice than running Push the Ball.

Ok, I think man to man will work as well.
Look Inside is a faster pace offense, whereas Low Post is a slower pace offense. As far as I can remember, Low Post requires good passing for your guards, as they will deliver the ball to your PF/C. In general, if your opponent is superior than you, you might want to use Low Post, as the chance of making the basket is higher than Look Inside, but since your team and your opponent is pretty much equal (your team is little superior in my opinion), you could use Look Inside...or even Low Post...I'm not really sure which one is more suitable.
If any other experts out there can help him too, it'd be appreciated.
