Well I'm training my 18 year old PF as a Center because Centers have far more 1 position attributes to train. And I've been training him at IS for center and the first week I only got him 45 mins and it was no surprise he didn't pop but you would think this would move the sub level up pretty close to a pop. Next week I got him 48 mins and trained IS for Center. He still didn't pop. Does IS train slowly or something?

PS: I have been getting him the mins at Center he is a little short, star potential, and I have an advanced trainer.

Why is it going so slow?

Does height effect IS? And from what I heard star potential only caps out earlier than lets say All Time Great and should not train any slower then Star for a player with undeveloped skills.

I believe that IS training for single position training is somewhere between 1-2 weeks per pop. What is his height? Yes,height has an effect. Also remember that 45 mins is NOT 48+ mins (which is full training) some say that 45 mins may only get you ~75% of full training. I tend to think it is a little higher but have no data. Yes potential caps out later in life ie not at age 18 (unless you are a bench warmer)

And instead of opening a new thread because that would give me like 7 million help threads to my name, could some one list which attributes are effected by height?

He will train a little slower as a 6'6" than a 7 footer; I prefer my C's to be at least 6'9". My bet is he will pop next week; he may also pop if you are training ID or Reb as those will provide secondary training for IS.

Hope that helps...

Thank you . I think I'm going to try to get a pop in IS and then turn him into a Shooting Guard. Surprisingly he has most of the fundamental skills. Jump shot will train a little bit of IS as well I'm guessing?

Only if you train JS Wingman or Forwards. Not Guard.

If you play him at shooting guard you could train jumpshot for guards(PG,SG), or jumpshot for wingmen(SG,SF). Training Wingmen will get him a pop in IS about every 8 weeks, while training jumpshot for guards does not train IS, but is supposed to train DV/HN better.

He means that training JS for guards doesn't do anything for IS but if you train him on JS while training wingmen or forwards he will. So just be sure to train wingmen and put him in SG rather than having him as a SG and training guards.

No matter where you go, there you are.
