I won my first league game (at home). I lost my second league game (away). Both games I played TIE. And both games were 12 point margins. I have a cup game on thursday. If I win the cup game, then I was wondering whether my league game which is at home on Saturday will have good attendance, or will it have bad attendance because I lost my last league game.

Cheers

Should be fine. It really depends on your ticket prices, fan survey and the opposition you are playing against. The better the opposition the greater the attendance.

You also got promoted, so that gives you a boost in attendances. I know a team that the season after getting promoted won only 2 league games, but for more than 2/3 of the season he had all his home games with a full house

Cheers guys. I was a bit disappointed to lose. I think I had the better team, but I didn't play all of my best guys because I wanted to save some guys for the cup. Also I played TIE. He played Normal, and had homecourt advantage and won by 12. Do you think it was a mistake to play TIE? My plan is to play TIE all season? That's what I did for most of last season as well. Good idea?

Well TIE won't be effective at the start of the season till you build your enthusiasm up. However once u get your enthusiasm high thats when u will get the advantage. TIE can still be a good strategy long term.

Its not necessarily a good idea in div III. You will lose a lot of games in the start of the season and teams are a lot tougher in div III than IV. Your enthusiasm can only go up so high as the further you are away from 5 the quicker it falls. Its going to hurt your team if you consistently lose games at the start of the season

A slighty adjusted strategy would be to TIE a lot of the time but play Normal in key games you need/want to win.

Cheers everyone. Well I won the first game because we both played TIE. Second game I only just lost and he played Normal vs my TIE. So hopefully that means my team is at least a little competitive. I played TIE in my cup game as well so my enthusiasm is on 10 now. I generally found playing TIE on 8 is the same as Normal on 5. Does anyone find that as well?

To your original question, you probably will have a better rating in your fan survey because it includes Cup games. Fan survey, correct me if I'm wrong, affects attendance. So, if everything else is constant, you will have a better attendance.
