Playoff Time

As we all know tomorrow on the 9th of March the first round of playoff takes place. We shall take some time to analyse the pairs in Great 8 conference.
1. To start with, number one team in the league table Megalonisos will welcome in their own homecourt the outsiders Pistoleroi. What can we say about this game? What can we say about this game? Not much. Although the manager of Pistoleroi showed great enthousiasm regarding the game and a possible good result for its team, still us mortals down to earth tend to believe the advatage not only in respect to each squad but also to the homecourt is surely for the favour of Megalonisos. Both teams will give their best (crunch time) for sure and we hope for a good game with suspense. Not much can be said regarding the tactics each team will follow. Usually the two teams play differently both in offense but also in defense. Should a good prediction of each others game make a difference? We dont really believe so but then again we have been wrong a few times before. Finally we include that Megalonisos has been powered up by a new player, Krzysztof Babiel, a sufficient PG as well as SG, packing a mean average of nearly 20 points per game in the CBBA. Furthermore the talented Noé Borobia will not be in the starting lineup of the home team as he is injured and expected to return in 3 weeks time.
2. The second pair surely holds more suspense as Ekleptismenoi come head to head with Bros. Home court advantage is held by Ekleptismenoi and possibly could hold the key to victory. Both teams have capable players with a slight advantage of Bros regarding the big guys. Should this mean that the manager of Ekleptismenoi should play 2-3 zone? We just add to the above statement that Bros also holds a few very good outside shooters. Special attention is given to Gabriel Xarpell, a SF capable of scoring both from inside and outside with a respectable defense and a gameshape of proficient.
On the other hand, Ekleptismenoi scoring seems to fall on the shoulders of Nikos Chasodikis, a PG domestic players with proficient game shape that packs an average of about 18 points per game. Should the managers tactics affect the outcome of this game? Absolutely, since both teams are not far away from each other., in respect to potential. What would the outcome of this pair be? It come down to the tactics. We believe that the manager that makes the best tactics will come out as a winner since both teams will give their best to win. The homecourt advantage of Ekleptismenoi is counter balanced by the better gameshape and more repertuar of Bros.
