Hi, I have a wonderful rookie 6'1" guard who almost has average everything except inside scoring, which is atrocious. What's the ideal level for secondary or fringe skills? The last thing i want to see is my player bungling all his lay-ups.

sounds like a good pg prospect , what is his potential ?

i would turn him into a assist/def spec player and completely ignore his inside game.
depending on his potential id go with the following training plan
pressure 2 pops then switch to
passing 1 pop then switch to
handling 1 pop then start again at pressure.
id do that all his first season.

2nd season id go with

pressure 2 pops then
passing 2 pops then
jump shot (wingmen) 1 pop
one on one 1 pop then start again

hope this helps

I wouldn't bother training his inside skills at all. Although they can be useful because he is so short its not worth it as they will take ages to train. On the plus side his outside skills will train great because of his height. Train OD, Passing, Handling, JS, Driving and a little JR and away u go.

Yeah something like that depending on what type of PG u want. I agree OD is very important for any type of PG.
