I am currently training Inside Scoring .
The player I am focusing at had a pop up in his Inside Shot .
The question is can he go up again in IS this week or he will probably go up in ID & Js?
I want to know this as the ID & JS is not very important for me on this player & if there is no chance for him to go up in IS I will probably get the chance to another player .
Thanks in advance

Nah don think u can get pops in the same skill in consecutive weeks. But someone might disagree.

Even if he doesn't get a pop he will still improve his sub-level, so unless you are planning to sell you are safe to train him.

It's definitely possible to get pops in the same skill in consecutive weeks, although it is unlikely.

However, the reason it is unlikely has nothing to do with the week you choose to train a given skill. For example:

Scenario One
Week A: John Smith pops from Proficient (8.5) to Prominent (9.1) in OD
Week B: Smith gets training in passing
Week C: Smith trains in OD but doesn't pop (9.1 to 9.9)
Week D: Smith pops in OD from Prominent (9.9) to prolific (9.3)

Scenario Two
Week A: John Smith pops from Proficient (8.5) to Prominent (9.1) in OD
Week B: Smith trains in OD but doesn't pop (9.1 to 9.9)
Week C: Smith pops in OD from Prominent (9.9) to prolific (9.3)

In both cases it take three weeks of training Pressure to get the two pops in OD, you just trained things in a different order.

I have had a player pop twice in consecutive weeks in the same skill. The skill was rebounding though which trains faster than most other skills.

Week 1 Trained Reb- Average to Respectable
Week2 Trained Reb- Respectable to Strong

This happened because he must have been very close to respectbale to start with (maybe 6.9). Then he was trained in Reb and went up to 7.5. Then the next week I trained him in Reb again and he went to 8.1. These numbers are complete guesses but you get the point.

So therefore you can have a player pop in the same skill 2 weeks in a row.

As far as I know, you can't know the sublevels. I included them for the sake of argument.

I had a player skip a level and go from 7 to 9 in one week earlier in the season. It was in rebounding, too.

Hummm not sure if it is. I know you can't do 1 position training on rebounding so it would have had to be PF/C training. I don't think one player can pop 1.1 points in a skill in 1 week but hey who knows. He would have had to go from something with a .9....... say 6.9 to 8.0.
