Hello BB Community :)
Im new to this game this is my first season (somewhere in the middle )

I just have a few questions here and there which i need to be cleared...

1)Well ive been doing decently in my league won 2-2 games and looking good.
The next team im playing is probably the worst outside shooting team in the league (0.080%3FG) so i was wondering about the defensive tactic which will completely block out their scoring 3-2 Zone/2-3 Zone or something else?

Sadly ,Most teams in my league are bots and play Base Offense/Full Court M-M.

2)I also had another question about My season future. My current position was earned by a team with better players and im above teams with much better players than me :P.
Which gets me thinking should i get as high as i can in the league or should i play easy and drop as low as possible so i have better draft prospects next season ?
My Team DMI average is probably 8000 right now and i think i can get better Rookies for future performances :)

Those are my questions basically :O
3)Oh and in training do the players that play in games only get training mins? and the max/week = 48 ?
Im playing a Scrimmage right now against a much better team with DMI's from 30-50k with my sub players to train them :P
My highest DMI guy is probably their lowest and im still even with them 1.5 quarters down I mean wtf is up with that ?
Am i missing something about the GE?

Well for starters don't judge players on DMI as DMI is influenced a lot by game shape and is not a good indication of player skills. Salary is a better indicator although salary is only done at the start of a season and doesn't take into account your or your opponents current seasons training. If a team is bad outside shooting u want him shooting from outside. 3-2 gives u better outside defense so u don't need that. 2-3 zone gives better inside defense so generally would be the better way to go. Saying that though u also need to consider your own players when choosing a defense. As for your league position personally i try and win as much as i can, no one really likes losing. Just because u finish lower doesn't mean u will get better draft picks. It means u will pick higher. But depends how much scouting u do, even then the players u draft can be unpredictable in what u end up with as u don't have all the information before the draft.

With training players need to get at least 48 minutes in the position they are being trainined in to get full training. Note that a players best position doesn't matter, its where u play them.

Ok i see , So technically speaking if im training IS for Center and i play my PG as Center for a game he gets the IS training?

Oh and the top team in my league's manager changed so i have a chance of coming First :P
Isnt that kinda bad because i will get promoted and then owned and i get relegated?

Yep if u play your PG as centre u could give him IS training. Your far from being promoted theres still a lot of the season left lol. Again personally i don't like losing so if there was an opportunity to promote i would. Most teams would have a fight to stay up after promotion anyway. Basketball mustn't be big in India if your new and already high up in div 2 lol

Lol Guess it isnt :)
I love Basketball though :)
Oh and if we play 1 game/week at home and also play a Scrimmage same week at home then is attendance fees = 2x?
If thats the case isnt it better to lose the Cup early on and make some money to buy better players early on in the game?

Sorry but scrimmages don“t give you any money so, stay at the cup if you can.
Best regards.

Regarding the Draft:

As I was told in another thread, if you're in a league with mainly bots, concentrate on scouting
because the bots are gonna draft randomly.

If u don't scout it just means u will have less information going into the draft. You can get information on a players age, position, current ability and potential. The more information u have the better u can rank players prior to the draft. As for how much u want to spend its really up to u and what u can afford. Probably either $10,000 or $20,000 per week would be an ok investment up to u though.

Uhm Ok Thx for the help :)
Btw what can u tell me about what goes on after the season ends? How long before next season?
And when is the All star weekend?
Do u get any bonuses if the players win?

Edit: Oh and about the draft how long do you get to select players?

the offseason you get depends on you rank at the table

after the season the playoffs takes place, if you go all the way to the finals you will have one week before next season start, if not, you will wait until the playoffs end + one week
if you finished 5th, you will not have any official games until the end of the playoffs, but you will play a scrimmages once a week agains the 5th of opposite division

if you are in the relegation series you will have best of 3 games (6th against 7th of opposite devision - 6th with home court advantage)

the playoffs are about 2 week long

you will get the draft prospect (more detailed if you did more scouting) at the season end
you wil set the players in the order you want to select (you will always select the higher pick you want that wasn't drafted yet)
you change the order until sunday or monday after the last playoffs game

about allstar weekend - sorry, but get no bonuses for players in
also munutes and injuries doesnt count

hope i've been helpful
