Hi guys,

I have 800k and I was thinking about buying a PG. What is the best choice for that? Is it better to buy defensive PG, let say with good defense and bad JS for example or more offensive one with good JS, JR??

Which skills are really useful apart from handling and passing?? I read about suggested skills for PG, however I don't fully trust it as i.e. SB is suppose to be important skill for C and my C has up to 1 block per game with strong skill.

I rank skills for PGs like this:

1. Outside Defense, Handling, Passing
2. Jump Shot, Jump Range, Driving
3. The rest

I think that it is important to value defense very highly, so I would put defense ahead of the other skills.

It also depends on the offense and defense you're going to use. If you're runnin' and gunnin' you could probably use a good shooter. But you know what they always say, it's defense that wins championships :P

Depends on the teams in your league. If there are no team with strong outside you must not but big pririty on defense. If your team is mainly inside offense it will not be so important with shooting skills on your PG. So yours and other teams strategy

Important with high outside defense anyway as it is slow to train but you will probably be forced to pay a lot for it as well.

defense first cause no matter what type of offense you run. you still need defense.

I don't agree. If your toughest opponents has poor outside offense you will have less need of outside defense. Last season I put a lot of focus on outside defense on my guards (training guards last seasons) because the team I believed to my worst threat for promotion had really good outside offense. Had I instead focused on team that perhaps was my worst opponents I would instead have put priority on outside offense as his outside defense was abysmal.

But generally you are right as you normally got a few teams with quite ok outside offense. You will always need to get skills quite well balanced of course because else you will also be messed up when you meet stronger teams with other strengths if promoted.

My PG is my best perimeter defender. From what ive seen most teams trying to be balanced. If they know that u r OD is weak will try to exploit. In my opinion D is coming 1st, all others 2nd.

I agree but if you got 2 or 3 tough teams in your division and all of them are training inside players and are quite unlikely to have money to improve their outside you can adjust your game to that. In higher divisions you will be in huge problems if your defense is too weak. That it should be a higher priority than defense is something that is a too big simplification in my opinion. If you can get a very superior offense you might be able to dominate opponents so much so that their defense can't handle you.

For me offense for a PG is mainly passing and handling ability not shooting. The PG is supposed to create scoring chances rather than scoring himself, commonly the case both in BB and RL.
