What does driving improve for a team and how does it affect the players' stats?

driving is the ability to create his own shot in this game and not only important for inside shots.

But especially Guards with driving seems to do better under the basket.

Also remember that Driving and Handling are very closely related. When you train Handling or One on One (Driving), you also get a good deal of training in the secondary skill. But CrazyE is correct that Driving is more about getting an open shot while Handling is more of a players ability to dribble and not have turnovers.
