Pilipinas bows down to Australia at home, 106-101

After a hot first quarter, Australia managed to claw back from a 15-pt hole to lead much of the second half. We managed to tie the game in the 4th but Australia made sure to keep the game away in overtime.

Sucks to lose at home but fair play to Deano and Australia for bringing their A game last Monday in our home turf.
Next week will be our bye week and we'll play Indonesia in a scrimmage. They are currently 2-0 in Pool C after beating Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

Pilipinas dealt with another loss, this time against Macau, 84-74

A closely contested game throughout ended up with another loss as Macau prevented us to score in the last 2:44 of the game. We underestimated them playing some of the younger guys to start but proved how tough Macau is. No longer the pushover team they were once was. Not much to say as we go down 1-2 after this loss. We are currently sitting at 5th, outside the cut-off for the next round.

We will be trying to bounce back next week against New Zealand who are sitting with a 0-3 record and will be coming off a bye week where they opted to rest than to play a scrimmage.

Pilipinas eliminates New Zealand, 128-83

A statement win for Pilipinas as we bounce back from our defeats. We made sure to eliminate New Zealand along the way as we grew our margin in each quarter.

Next week, Thailand naman ang makakalaban natin who managed to nab their first win against Iran (2-2). We can eliminate them from the tournament too if we manage to beat them.

Pilipinas back on track, eliminates Thailand. 108-80

We won big against Thailand today, sending them home along with New Zealand. We managed to widen the lead in Q2 and never looked back.

Pool B (Taiwan, China, Indonesia & Singapore) and Pool C (Hong Kong, Malaysia, Lebanon & Pakistan) are pretty much set, order na lang nila yung ide-determine next week.

Sa Pool A naman, Australia at Macau pa lang ang sigurado. May 2 spots pa na pag-aagawan natin with Iran (3-2) and Korea (2-3). Korea will be facing Australia next week and will need a big win to advance. Tayo naman ay Iran ang katapat. Tabla natin sila ng record pero lamang tayo sa point differential. If we win, we'll proceed na next round at sila na mag-aagawan sa last spot.
