Welcome to the new season everyone, and a special welcome to all the newcomers! I personally have been here for 4 seasons now(I think) and it has always been very competitive! Both divisions lost their 1st seed from last season, so I'm looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out. It looks like the Big 8 will be a blood bath again, while the Great 8 has the potential to be much more competitive than last season.

We will need a volunteer to provide the hard-hitting postgame analysis that Coco was doing in the forums, not it!

Good luck!

Yeah, I think that ship has sailed

Still kind of bitter about the way that season ended, but whatever

Just hoping to get some trainees up to snuff

I'm just happy to be here lol... Haven't been able to stay in D3 for two consecutive seasons, maybe this year will be the first, I finally have a few players able to compete at this level with some room to grow to boot.

Good luck everyone.

Past the first post. 4 teams on the Blue side at 4-3. Red side seems to be perfectly segmented.

We'll see how things play out in a month or so

Season 63 Contenders

Hey guys,

this season there hasn't been as much content with Black Light promoting to D2 so I figured that I'd give my 5 contenders for the championship ranked in order from most likely to win it all to least likely.

1. Someteam 10-1

It's tough to beat the three headed monster of Suggs, Linhares and Nguyen who all have a salary higher than 130k. His team isn't as deep after that so an injury to one the stars could swing the odds to a different team.

2. Johns Creek Wave 8-3

JCW has maybe the best player in the league in Sargent which could be huge come playoff time. His team has been in this league for awhile and always been competitive but never able to bring it home. This season has more parity without a truly dominant team (no offense Ashkickers) so maybe this is finally the season he can make his run.

3. Retired 6-5

Retired doesn't have the record that some of the other elite teams have but a large part of that is because he's going on a cup run and his sole focus hasn't been on winning regular season games. Retired still has the second highest combined team salary at 454k only beat by Someteam's 512k. He also has maybe the deepest starting roster in the league with his lowest salary starter at 56k.

4. Ashkickers 11-0

Ashkickers has had an extremely impressive start of the season being undefeated at the halfway point. His combined salary is much lower than the other elite teams which means he also probably has the highest net income as well. Will Ashkickers make a late season acquisition to compete with the high salary monsters?

5. X Dominate X 9-2

Dominate has an impressive record so far this season with some clutch wins against Someteam and Retired. His upcoming matches versus Ashkickers and JCW are going to be the true test to whether he can make a run at the championship.

Who do you guys think are the favorite this season?

Thanks for the write-up!

Seems pretty spot on based on my own short experience in this league. I've been soundly beat by each of those teams that I've played but have otherwise held my own against everyone else.

Can't pick a favorite until I look at the rosters on depth, but those 5 definitely seem a cut above.

Nice write up, the top 3 are definitely a cut above the rest, at least in my opinion. I think any of the 4th to probably 10th team can beat each other on any given day. It's so competitive this season I feel like it's impossible for me to take the cup seriously while trying to win all these close matchups.
Every team has some weaknesses this season so it'll be an interesting last half of the season for sure!

Well, we'll know a little more after tonight

For my part, it's more about developing a couple of young players and BBM. Currently undefeated and primed for a high seed there.

I'm pretty jaded in the league at this point. I either have a whale in front of me or something happens at the end of the season (injury or poor form)

But this will be Sargent's last season here unless I promote to D2. Can't afford him here.

It's wild isn't it? Pretty much every game is important these last few weeks of the season...
