Your opening montage shows the skylines of the various venues hosting the festivities for the evening.

Announcer: BB2NIGHT international in association with the USNT consortium proudly present the America's Championship Tournament as tonight marks the opening night of festivities. Across our great land from sea to shining sea the best of this side of the pond will pound sand in an effort to be crowned king of two continents.

So stay tuned here for the highlights!

(authors note: Ok I am going to try and do something, then again the BB2NIGHT series has been something that TBH has been used as a means to crank some interesting tunes and maybe broaden some horizons in that regard as I quit doing my Sunday radio show like 12 years ago! But I'm going to try and post recaps of our boys and perhaps if motivated some of the interesting highlights from the other matchups)

In a night featuring the aluminum jungles of some of the finest white elephant arenas in the buzzer beater world there was not a competitive game to be had. I have always wondered, what is the highest verified attendance of a game in the history of our game? One thing I am going to try and do is to let the managers who's "arenas" host these contest know that they had that honor.

Columbia blistered Bolivia 125-80 in front of 22,204 at Dangerzone (cap: 30,600)

Brazil battered the Dominican Republic 134-76 as 22,327 paid to see it at NOtown (30,550)

Mexico manhandled Panama 125-78 in front of 21,989 at Clutch Center (30,550)

Chile clobbered Costa Rica 136-97 with 23,328 attendees in Universal Center (36,038)

Argentina bombed Bahamas 128-99 with an announced crowd of 23,526 at Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Complex (35,550)

Venezuela plastered Puerto Rico 137-99 with 23,411 filling Trap Center (35,096)

The USA jammed Jamaica 112-46 as 24,496 came out to the Colosseum (40,550)

Peru posted a 100-82 win over Guatemala against the backdrop of 24,697 at The Inn (40,550)

and Uruguay plastered their neighbors from Paraguay 122-91 in front of 24,400 at the garage (40,550)
