Scrimmage: vs Thailand - 131 - 130

What a game! Although we lost in overtime by one point, the players set out on the floor against Thailand showcased optimism. Against a higher ranked Thailand, our players held their own and nearly won in overtime with Selwood missing the last shot of the game. Maurice also hit some clutch shots towards the end of the fourth quarter, going toe to toe against Thailand's talented SG.

MVPs:
1. John Maurice - 3 votes.
2. Xi Yonghao - 2 votes.
3. Dwayne O'Meley - 1 vote.

Next Game:
vs Hong Kong to start the Asian Championship Tournament.

Update:
Depending on if I am reelected, the initial 10 or 12 man squad for this season will be selected on the weekend.

Team Announcement - Season 50

Our initial 10 man roster has been appointed. Managers have also been BB-Mailed. The team for this season comprises of 7 returning players and 3 new additions. This is the best team that I've had at my disposal in my three seasons in charge so far. I hope to make the second round of the Asian Tournament but it for sure wouldn't come easily. In our group, we have hosts Hong Kong, dark horses South Korea, rivals Malaysia, under ranked Singapore, underdogs Macau and the talented Vietnam.

I'm also proud to announce the leaders of the team for this season in:
Captain: John Maurice
Vice Captain: Xi Yonghao

Both players have been pivotal in my first term of management and will be crucial in the success of the team this season.

Our season opener is against the hosts Hong Kong on Monday night. Tune in!

Game 3 - vs: Malaysia: WIN: 84 - 79 (55933)

WHAT A WIN! Don't get me wrong, I was starting to panic once Malaysia started hot in the fourth quarter but was relieved when we had the ball with 2 seconds to go with the scores at 84 - 76. Despite getting both GDP guesses correct, we couldn't expand our points differential on the standings as Malaysia's backup PF hit a BuzzerBeater at the end of the game. All in all, it is a big win but there must still be work to be done.

MVPs:
1. Myron Gupta - 3 votes
2. Dean Huhtaniemi - 2 votes
3. George Jabano - 1 vote

Next Game:
vs Singapore. Tune in!

Nice win mate. I had a bid on Goddard, would've gone a bit further if I knew he was any use to you!! Hopefully gets trained at his new house.

Thanks! Saw the bid and was contemplating whether or not to add him to the team as it would attract buyers to him but I went all in for the win and it worked out I guess.

Game 4 - vs: Singapore: WIN: 96 - 83 (55935)

Get in! We threw everything into our matchup with a strong Singapore team who were undefeated this season and were rewarded with a great 13 point win. Unfortunately we were unable to extend our points differential as Singapore threw some amazing 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter but a great win nonetheless!

1. John Maurice - 3 votes
2. Dhasaradakumaran Pushparaj - 2 votes
3. Dwayne O'Meley - 1 vote

Next Game:
vs TBC. Will hopefully get a scrimmage in to try some stuff!

Really nice win bud. Great job. Hopefully with a few of us training hard, we will be strong for the next few seasons.

I know Hoddy is training guards and I'm training bigs, so we should have a really good side in a couple of seasons.
