Actually a great training facility
Was thinking about this for quite a while, so here it goes:

What if we could draft players not only from our country, but from abroad aswell, like it is in NBA?

Obviously not for free. Let's say you have to invest additional + 10k (from the top of my head) a week to get information about a few players from other countries. They add into your draft list with some information (maybe just the grey balls), but you have to scout them normally (3 pts) to get full information.

I feel like that could help out minor countries, give more incentive to draft AND delete some money from BB economy.

The only con that i see - this may make your country somewhat weaker, considering people would chase minor countries prospects to get them to play for U21 or NT.

For training, to get them into NT easier, than your country players get there (and that sweet merchandise bonus).

I remember in other manager players had flags by their names, if they were a part of any U18/NT and people used to pay alot for useless players, just for the flag.

If I draft a good player, I personally always want him to be from my nation. I understand the thought process, but I don't think many people would pay extra let alone switch it over to another nation for free.

Then big countries would have no draftees because everyone would choose small countries
I can't see this ending well

Too all who answered - exactly, some always want their players of their country but a few would look for some micro nation superstars.

Thats why I think it would help small user bases and wouldn't hurt bigger ones that bad

Other than your country NT players do not give bonus in merchandise?

Well, I've misunderstood the way it works then.

No real reason to do it then, only players that play the way they see interesting, not the optimal way would do it.

I'm guessing the most it could give is the fact others would not be even able to draft him, only you would get him in your drafting list, so if you get a 5/5 - guaranteed pick.

Otherwise it's just too overpowered
