Hi everyone in BB-Austria,

A bit late, but i finaly found some time to introduce you to your U21 for Season 44 !

Currently there are 16 players on the team (some of them only to monitor there progress),
that leaves 2 spots fot bot's or players i've might forgotten....


PG / SG
(44355936) Paul Leber (SV-Mensdorff-Pouilly). 21yr - 188cm - Pot.9
Great PG, needs to work on his TO, as he is #4 in the Bundesliga at TO;
(44355949) Yves Köhler (Beaters Nr.1). 21yr - 188cm - Pot.7
High SP, but lacks 1 essential skill and should work on his fitness;
(45935245) Stefan Bayer (The Normans). 20yr - 183cm - Pot.9
PG with some inside skills. Our hope at guard for next season;
(44355955) Lukas Riegler (Eggersdorfer Rebounder). 21yr - 190cm - Pot.10
Good PG to have as a backup, has got some inside skills. Keep up the training and he will be valuable for the big NT.

Decent player. Allround skilled, nice backup to have for de SF-Position in the U21;
(45154384) Lúbomir Zuziak (NICE BALL). 20yr - 196cm - Pot.8
With 196 cm he's in the SF-section, but is more of a PG. With 20-yr he will be, depending on his training, our nr.1 PG next season;

For now the nr-1 SF, but he needs to increase his shots. With 38% FG in the U21, he should do better;

High on secundary skills, but could use some primary. Is working on it.

Final post for now, how did we do the first matches of this season!

First match was a scrimmage against Finland (31) and was the kick-of for the new roster.
In a packet United Center of CHImeisi (21.369 visitors for the U21), we only lost by 10 points (128-118) against a strong opponent. In a Motion-strategy Köhler tried his best at SF with 32 pts (46%), but at PF Just was the leader of the team with 19 pts (88%!)

Then, the draw for the U21 EM S44. There we are a bit unlucky with some strong opponents. We have to face (in game-order): Spain (20); Estonia (28); Ireland (36); Russia (4); Cyprus (61); Armenia (87) and Macedonia (43). If we win 4 of these matches, we do outstanding.

Austria (56) - Spain (20) 103-117
A match we would lose, so we didn't put to much effort in this game. Or did we?
Spain has in all aspects a better roster, alltough that didn't show in the Q-results. Only the Q3 we couldn't keep up with Spain. Again Köhler at SF was a pain in the xxxx for Spain with 42 points, but he did also have 8 turn-overs.
Inside, against a 47k C and 40k. PF, Fiechtl managed to grap the most rebounds in the game (14).
All in all i'm happy how we played and i can live with this (calculated) loss.


Estonia (28) - Austria (55) 114 - 87
With the good game against Spain in my head i hoped for a little suprise against Estonia. It didn't work out as planned.
Again a good inside opponent (2 players 40k+ en 3 players 30k+ for Estonia) we couldn't match up. With a Fg-% of 42% against 53% we were bound to loose.
Köhler again the most points (20), nice rebounding 'of the bench' from Stockhammer (13 rbnd).


Next opponent:
Austria (54) - Ireland (36)
Ireland surprisingly lost against Cyprus and will be eager to win this game. With McMahon they have a 29k. Center in good shape, there second man 'in the paint' (Wall) is injured. The offensive strategy is unsure, as they have played different tactics each week. It will be a close game, hopefully we find our first win.
