Only the lowest division is getting guaranteed bot teams. Every league that you have to earn your spot in is still all human unless someone abandons their team.

Oh man EBW, don't remind me of my team salary. :( As much as BB is basketball game (which I presume what attracted all of us to here), it's a finance game. I've been in training mode for many seasons now ... and still is. I tried to sell my 100K trainee seemingly the entire last season but to no luck. The TL market kindda changed on his type of builds.

BTW EBW, enjoy your YouTube videos, especially those interviews. It's nice to attach a voice to the team. :) Did you reset your team? Somehow I'm thinking that you have been around longer than S55.

We have a good mixed of old vets and new teams. It's going to be interesting to see how ya'all manage your teams in this era of player exhaustion.

Talking of old vets, 3 of you (Slots, Sonics, Huskies) got your teams before or about the same I got mine. Surprisingly we haven't crossed paths until now. Nice to see we're all still playing BB. :)

Thanks for the kind words and support! (for any of you managers not subscribed to the YouTube channel, we are closing in on 600 subs).

I have had two previous teams, my most recent with the exact same manager and team names. I've been on BB since around season 17 or so if I remember right, so definitely a pain to lose the old account and have to build the arena back up, but it isn't too bad!

Oh, you have no reason to worry. Outside of Butler and Denton (a HOF who didn't have a good set of starting skills so I just didn't put much training on him), everyone are still early in their training.

I'm a lazy but consistent player.... not a lot of movement. I rarely go up or down... usually I settle into a division for a bunch of seasons. Nice to see chat activity.

Just listed a really interesting rookie (highest salary I ever drafted) but unfortunately I will not be training him. Give him a home. :)

LOL just the first game of the season. Your team has a surprisingly good defensive ratings (given that you were on the road).

Decided to create a simple power rankings for the league. I may tinker with how I weight different aspects of the team throughout the season, but in general, I'm looking at 3 factors: Skill ratings in games (Offense and Defense), Player salaries (top 8 players, with more weight to top 5), and win/loss record. I also included some notes about what stuck out for each team.

Other interesting notes:

In each category I set the best team's score as 100% and all other teams as a percentage of that score. So at least one team got a perfect score in each metric.

6 teams received the exact same offense grade of 84% (a 6 way tie for 10th place)

The offenses in the league were surprisingly evenly matched. The lowest rating of any team was 82%. By comparison, the lowest defense rating was 59% and 2 other teams scored below 70%

Every team that won their first game is in top 8. I promise, W/L record is only 10% of the score!

Additionally, every team that got a top 8 ranking (and in turn, every team that won game 1) had a top 8 defense.

Obviously take rankings from just 1 game with a grain of salt; I'll try to update the ranking a few times throughout the season.
