Thnx!

So would it be an option to compare my offensive flow ratings vs the outside defense of the opponent to analyse game results? Just like inside scoring vs inside defense en outside scoring vs outside defense?

Also I conclude from your answer that when an outside team plays an inside team, it will be way harder to win when your the inside team?
The outside team can try to focus their defense at the guards of the inside team, so that the guards can't get the ball to the inside men, while the inside team probably can't match the guards of the opponent team. At least, that's what seems to happen in my games, where my guards take too many terrible shots.

your team has to be balanced to win, similarly if you have an purely outside team you are going to get destroyed on the boards and get crushed that way.

its true we didn't retune the game rating formula when we returned the engine, this was in part to keep some continuity in what the GE means... also though its harder to quantify how much of a contribution a particular player's handling ability added to the game, even when it clearly did.

we have discussed retuning some of the team ratings to better reflect the changes to the GE, so i suppose the game ratings could also be considered, though in thinking about handling in particular i'm not sure how to add it, in a way consistent with the way we add in other components.

I have the feeling, that the position 4 and 5 have been touched a lot by these changes: many turnovers because of low handling/passing. Is that correct?

the effect of low handling/passing is weighted toward the guards, so having good handling/passing at forward/center will help but not as much as the guards.

Do inside men with high OD force more turnovers from the opposing big men with low handling and passing skills?

yeah, I'm trying figure out if it's worth pursuing inside men with decent OD...just want to see if I can't afford to buy a big guy with high ID maybe I can pay less for a big guy with decent OD and ID and maybe he'll be able to force a TO instead of a missed shot...
