1) It helps a defender block some shots, which reduces their chances of going in to zero.

It should not! :)

is it a block when it goes in for the stats? Maybe is it a block and a own basket here, because the ball hitting the floor - but pretty funny scene.

2) It helps a defender alter some shots, which reduces their chances of going in substantially but not to zero." Here, I'm not sure what you exactly mean.

Whenever a shot is attempted, the game engine does a probabilistic calculation to decide whether it goes in. A shot which is neither blocked nor altered might be calculated as having X chance to go in. A shot which is altered has less than X chance to go in (but greater than 0). A shot which is blocked has 0 chance to go in.

Thanks for your response.

And when you say that shot "goes in" you mean that the shot is simple made, wheter converted or not, OR that shot is actually converted?

This was my major concern.

"Goes in" is a standard American English term for converting a shot in basketball.

He shoots. It goes in. 2 points.

there are other funny clips on youtube - search "own basket" including defesnive rebounding -> basket (haslem+wright), block/steal -> basket (vc) etc. But my personal favourite is this alleyoop :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55TU3TU74PA

According to that, SB seems to be a pretty good defense skill because is not like just some shots are block but some other have "their chances of going in substantially" reduced wich seems to be an unknown feature.

it depend on how strong this effect it, and are these changes new? If they don't change it, the others effects are very low.

So, as it says in the changes news, it will be harder to sell out "big arenas". I'm wondering, how big exactly is a "big arena"?

So I have a capacity of 9315, If I extend it to say 11,000, will it become hard to sell it out?

If the last day mr.Mac was complaining about his rebounding, im really missing now if any BB can explain what happened in my game.

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/BBWeb/boxscore.aspx?MatchID=13105628

Look diference of the rebounds, i dont understand why he was able to take all that rebounds, when the lasts 20 min of the game his center was fouled with 6 and he used an SG to play as a C.

By the way my PF has a level of 17 in rebounding and my center is better than the other C that played on lasts minutes, but i consider he took more rebounds that he should have taken. Taking 10 ofensive is really normal? And i remember all the explanations given to mr.mac for his OR

Its really awful how its working the rebound on the new GE, it seems that just to be playing as a PF or C you are able to took rebounds. I continue thinking something is bad on the rebound system.

Is this normal? 1-3-1 defense against inside attack, playing at home, and losing the match by 19 points.

What you think? I do not understand anything. Is the zone working properly?

Once again, when both team have no defense, you can pretty much toss a coin about the win. In this particular game, your defense without a zone at home is almost as bad as his, with the wrong zone, away.
