It is an estimate and 80% of the time you can expect it to be longer than that

Injuries are not estimates.

There are two reasons why injuries might last longer (or shorter) than listed:

1. You have a very good doctor that's helping a bit with healing speed, and
2. The injury has a high decimal level (despite the fact you see Injury: 2 weeks, the real number might be something like 2.875 weeks, for example).

I'd say that 2.875 would be rounded up to 3, but I agree that might be 2.475 or 1.75 and you visualize 2 weeks

I am not sure injuries are ever rounded up, but you get the idea, I guess.

With the length of time I've seen it takes some 2 week injuries to heal, my guess is that it's not rounded up, and just the integer is shown.

So, in summation, a prudent player would assume that a 2 week injury could take up 2.99 weeks and plan accordingly?

It is only an estimate. So When it says 3 weeks it could possibly be longer.

Also, when it says 3 weeks, it could be anywhere between 3.01 weeks and 3.99 weeks.

This still does not explain how come I see for 9 days the same amount of week,
because if he started with 3.99 he should be with 2.99 after a week, and I should see 2 weeks.
