I don't buy these numbers at all. Allstar (6) clearly trains to much higher than 30-35k, and it's definitely the potential for which there is the most data available, since all players created prior to the introduction of potentials were automatically granted allstar potential.

I feel that low potential players should be given the chance to become elite if given the right training. They should not be restricted to a certain salary as that's not really fair. I have a player whom I drafted a few year ago that had stat of at least respectable in 8 out of the 12 possible ones (the rest being mediocre/average), but he only has a potential of starter which really pain me as u can imagine what kind of player he could have become! It's really pity that such a good stat is put to waste due the restriction.

Btw, in the real world, not all players with high potential will fulfill their potential, there are always flop. Similarly, not all low potential players will flop!

They aren't restricted and you can still keep training them. It is just that training is much slower once they go past their cap.

I don't see the issue here. Starter is a good level potential and you could train him for probably 4 seasons without hitting the cap, as long as you do a good rotation.

If everyone got hall of fame players with 8 respectables in the draft BB would be flooded with superstars and the game wouldn't be fun.

The draft is a crap shoot and probably needs some improving. But the type of player that you're looking for should still be rare.

This happens in BB, too. I'm sure there are hall of fame guys out there in BB who never got training.

Check the mouse-over number. Announcer is potential = 0, all-time great is potential = 11. Allstar is, therefore, potential = 6. Using any other numbering is confusing

maybe confusing but if you only read the 7 and don't read the 12 then maybe you've got a problem there

at the point you see there's no 0 and there's a 12 you should think about whats going with the numbers.

and yes probably i must change them to avoid people who don't want to see to missundestand the post

maybe confusing

There is no maybe, it is indeed confusing. Why not use the text instead of numbers? I must admit that I barely looked at the table because I had no idea what a 7 potential is.

the numbers makes it compatible, for the languages - mayn people who post in forum don't use the english language in game and that why they didn't know the potential names.

Sorry - I didn't even think about the language issue so please forgive my ignorance. I retract my previous message.

Can someone confirm that older players with potential " allstar* " can NOT be trained further than the new ones with potential "allstar"?
