Rouste visiting I giallorossi
Rouste surprised IG with a good play keeping them under the 80 points in regulation, and IG needed 2 buzzerbeaters to stay in the game ( at the end of regulation, they were 2 points down, and in OT 1 they were 2 points down when the time ended, but both shots found the ring and dissapeared through it, so OT2 was needed.) IG clearly wanted to win, and crushed Rouste with 22 - 4 in OT2
final score: Rouste 91 - 109 IG
remarkable performance:
3 players of Roust ehad DD's, but that wouldn't make up for the great night of IG's Centre H. Leroy . he had 26 rebounds ( 8 offensif) and 12 ponts for the night to complete his DD.
BCU vs Ana
together with the match between rouste and IG, this was certainly the most exciting match to watch. Ana Coach Revo had decided to rest 2 of his star's, the PF Ghislain and SF Niko Vandewalle. BCU hammered AnA in the opening minutes, going to a 6-0 before AnA even had managed drained a single shot. Ana was down 6 points after the first quarter, and it only got worse for AnA. coach Revo was very angry with himself to have scratched his 2 best star from the bench aswell, as they weren't even sitting on the bench, by the halftime, BCU was leading in the Lotto Arena by 16 points, and the lead went to 19 points within seconds after the start of Q3. but then 18-year old talent L. Brož who was playing in the Centre position, decided to step up for his team. be as he grabbed over 50% of all rebounds in that Q, both on the offensif side as the defensif side, while handing out 3 assists aswell. AnA decided to follow L. Brož and suddenly started to make some buckets, outscoring BCU with 9-0 with two 3 pointers drained by SF simon, and we suddenly had a ball game again. when the 3rd Quarter ended, Ana was only down by 7 anymore, and other talents started to play better aswell. PF E. Huerco made some good play's and started rebouding to help L. Brož on the defensifside, while the PG's, SG's and SF's attempted one 3 point shot after the other, draining close to 2 out of 3 attempts. the, entering the final 60 seconds, Ana had gotten a lead of 7 points, and BCU took tied the game again with 13 seconds on the clock, but then newly acquired SG A. Rokofilos stepped up once last time, took a shot from the sideline. it popped and dropped, giving Ana the win after an unbelievable come back. Ana's supporters couldn't believe what they had seen, and coach Revo was astonished. all he could say was: i can't believe that we have won. what a comeback.
although, he had to admit that BCU had played a very good game, but they failed to secure it in the 3rd quarter, and since Ana's players where so fired up, they just took that win, to hang on to the 4th play-oofs spot in Great 8
