I understand that they are also field goals but maybe the statistics would be more useful if we would get statistics from inside shot(field goal) and outside shot(3pt) It is a little bit confusing for atleast some of us estonians :P

That's just the way statistics (at least in the states) have always been kept. Maybe going back to before they had the 3 point shot.

That's correct, unless the player is sitting on the bench. It's a team foul then, which gets written on the account of the coach.
