good luck to all asia qualifying participants... let's make this thread active for other users...

i'm the NT coach of the Philippines, we are currently in search for players,

i have a question, i'm a first time NT coach, does player acquisitions in NT have no deadlines? i mean, if we qualify in the asia qualifying tourney, can i still add/drop players?

you can add/drop players as you please, but be advised that dropping players hurts your team's enthusiasm.

safe money is on china and australia, though japan's home court may come in to play. since both finalists get auto bids to the world championships, it may depend on if either country has a desire for the actual crown, and not about saving / building enthusiasm.

Don't forget Hong Kong. It had also entered the World Championship in last season :)

Check the rules http://www.buzzerbeater.org/BBWeb/rules.aspx?nav=National...

There are 18 teams in BuzzerBeater Asia. The teams are drawn into three first-round groups of eight teams and play a round robin from week 2 to week 8. The top four teams from each group are placed into one of two 2nd round groups, with results not carrying forward. 2nd round is played from week 9 until week 13. The top two teams in each group advance to semifinals during week 14 and finals the Friday of week 14. The two finalists qualify for the World Championships. The remaining semifinalists as well as the 3rd placed teams in each 2nd round group qualify for the Second Chance Qualifiers.

Four teams from each confederation qualify for the Second Chance Qualifiers. They will be drawn randomly into four groups such that each group contains one team from each confederation. No seeding will be given based upon either World Ranking or order of finish in the continental championships. Each group is a single round robin, and the top team in each group advances to the World Championships. The second chance qualifiers take place from week 1 until week 3 in even-numbered seasons. Between zero and four teams from each confederation will qualify via this process.

Makaysia has no hope agst the mighty Aussies! So we'll concentrate on India. We will bounce back after unexpected losses to both Hanguk and Philippines.
