I had a player get an increase in pay of 14.4% who had no visible increase in skills. He had one week of FT shooting training and turned 30 for this season. He otherwise had no training or pop from his ATROCIOUS experience.

Why did this happen? Makes no sense what so ever.

He stinks, so I will probably have to kill him, as the TL list will bring nothing for him and could lower myh attendance if I have to sell other players, which I will to pay the bills.

Did you buy him? he could have trained with the other team in that case...

You raise another question: if you fire a player is it the same (concerning the new supporter enthusiasm thing) as if he leaves on a transfer?

Yes I bought him . His game shape was rotten when I got him, and He's 30, so I doubt that very much.

It looks like he never played for the other team, whose first game was just before you bought him (assuming we're talking about the Finn).

Were the new salaries based on the best position, or the actual skills? It might make sense to calculate a salary based on each position's skill set and then give the player the highest salary. So if your player had a reasonable JS for a C (say mediocre), it might have increased his salary.

Or maybe there is some difference between the way the salary for a new player is calculated, and how it is calculated at an update.

He actually has PG skills and that's why I bought him to fill minutes in the scrimmage at a non-training position.

I guess he gets the (literal) axe Sunday morning.

there is no way that his skills didn't increase from last season if his salary went up 14%, we use a computer to calculate these things, so there simply is no way there was a mistake on a single player.
