Hello, I have noticed for quite some time the complaints about new users becoming acclimated to the game and new users not having much incentive to continue the learning curve required to succeed, and I began thinking about an idea that could help alleviate some of these problems.

If we had more tournaments in each country that pitted more similar strength teams against each other, along with the huge national tournament, I think you could see an increase in users because of the allure of winning something more easily than the national tournament. If you had, for instance, a tournament comprising of only DIV and DV teams, a DIII tournament, and DII/I tournament, people would join the game and stay because they have a chance to compete for something "big" right off the bat. You could obviously differ this by each country based on users, etc. but for a country like the US I think a structure similar to this would be great to add and keep new users.

Thoughts?

That's what I was thinking too, but I think it would be worth it. You'd have some teams trying to pump up more than they can handle, but they would fizzle out quite easily. Maybe a salary cap on lower level team salaries based on division? I think it is at least worth looking into about how to possibly set something like this up.

How about the losing teams in first round of the National Tourney fall into the second tier, the losers of the first round of the second tier fall to the third?

Similar like this? Or completely separate cups from the beginning? A common manager base as in the current model and my proposition would be easier for the staff to implement in my mind.

Sounds interesting ...

But I think this rule should apply to the teams knocked out in the first 3 rounds, otherwise strong teams might enter to this new tournament.

Yeah, something similar to that would suffice. Just weed out all the bot users and have the human managers eliminated in the first three rounds enter into a consolation cup. I don't have a perfect proposition or solution, but I just wanted to throw the thought out there as I think it would be fun.

Extra tournament is proposed to help newbies learn the game better ... and that would help newbies learn the game how?

I like the idea.. The tournament as it is is good but offers little hope to teams in lower divisions except some bonus money from a couple of bot rounds.

The problem would be implementing it, especially with the constantly changing numbers of users. Still would be cool to have a tourney where my team would get to player others form similar divisions and be competitive.

The problem is how would you stop stronger teams from tanking out of the national tournament so they can easily win the consolation cup?

Why not just help newbies understand and enter Private League, so they have the option and are not forced into a tourney?
