This week I talked to Brian, Manager of the King Drive Ballers. I asked him some questions about him and I also reshearched Brian and his team. Here is his story.
In Season 3 of Buzzerbeater history, the Ballers made it to the NBBA. Also in that season he made it to his frist semifinals in the NBBA for him. Next season(4) He was the Champion of League NBBA. It took him 3 games to finish the other team off and win the trophy. That was his first NBBA championship in there history. Season 5 was also a great season by getting the trophy again, but this time he sweeped the teams and won it. However in Season 6 They didn't win it all but he lost to the team in the semi-finals who won the league. In Season 7 he managed to garb his 3 championship in the NBBA. In seasons 8 and 9 he managed to get to the finals both times, but only won it in Season 9. The same in Seaason 10 and 11 where he made the finals both but failed to win it all in 3 games for both of those seasons. In Season 12 He got his 5 championship in the NBBA. Season 13 he went to the semi-finals but lost then to the winner of the NBBA. Sadly in Season 15 he got deducted from the laegue, but he came back in season 18.the next season he was back i action making it all the way to the semi-finals the losing. In seasons 20 and 21 he didn't make the plyoffs both seasons.
I asked Brian about his team not being in the playoffs and how he felt about it. He commented, "Making the plaoffs wasn't my goal, so I'm not disappointed. My aim was the cup, training, and trying to get to 5th place." I also asked him if he thought he would win another championship after 5 of them. He then said, " Its a toss up, AZ has been a good rival in the past. If I win I'll take it, if not, hats off to the bullish, a great and well managed team." A good man and a good heart. The last question that I asked, and I bet lots of people around the USA want to know. Is Brian friends or enemys with the other managers in the NBBA. He said after the question, " I wouldn't say I have enemys, wozz, coco, and ive. I have known these guys as BB old timers and working with them in the NT, overall its a good group.
What a journey for Brian and his Ballers. Am I right. Winning 5 championships in the NBBA. Please, some of us dream of going there. WEll thats all of it for today. Root for the King Drive Ballers in season 22. See you later.
