I have searched all over the forums and found no info/data on training after the potential cap. Plenty of info around the relation between salary-potential and other stuff concerning potential but nothing more then vague info like significantly slower and very very slow when it comes to the actual decrease in training speed.
I know its not advisable to do it so thats not what I need to hear. In my case its a player that just needs to pop one more time before he is relieved of training.
Anyone got a ballpark figure or better on training speed?

Slight adjustment, 2-3 weeks extra? Double time? Could take seasons to pop?

Any info would be appreciated. Data or own experience.

I got this 1 player with starter potential his salary is 17k now but with improvement over the season the salary calculator indicates he is worth 24k, which is about the capping point, he still gets pop about every 3 weeks still, I know not the most helpful but hopefully its better than nothing

i have a 23 years old 6th man potencial player with 13.5k salary, and in the whole season he poped up only 2 times and these pops were subskills. i think hes maxed out at lvl 13 jump shot:( (i was training jump shot all season long)

I have a capped 25 yo guard that has received passing training for 7 weeks now. He has not popped, I think he pops before next season, but it's ok if he does not. 2 pos training btw. Looking at my other capped oldies, the training time is doubled.

I forgot to mention that my target trainee has popped 4 times (twise in passing) during those 7 weeks and he is 22 yo. That leads me to believe that the 25yo player is capped.

I have a starter potencial forward. He reached 19.700 salary and before that he received something like 13 more trainings but he has not pop up again.

My player finally popped today. It was almost exactly 100% increase in training time after potential cap.
Thanks for all the answers.

Good to know. So, instead of, say, 2-3 weeks for a pop, more like 5-6?

Exactly.
This was a slightly older player aswell so he needed 4 weeks of training before he hit the potential cap. Now I spent 8 weeks training before the pop. Will never do something like that again but atleast now I know for sure how the cap affects training time. Before I decided to train him after the cap I searched the forums for info but there is hardly any info on how much longer it takes.

Tell me about it, the problem is you have to train him for 5-6 weeks before you know for sure he is capped. I'm doing the same thing now,

Never again, 7 weeks and still no pop.
