On our plans this game was considered lost, considering the 2 big absences that team has, of the 2 starters (Gkavoyiannos and Gagalatos), and the strength of Peru. They are ranked 25 and we are 57. Maybe that also was the key for the base offense tactics and the TIE that Peru NC used, and underestimate us. From the other side We chose to go TIE, saving enthusiasm for the later stages. We have also chose the motion offense as a part of t he changes that i have already said on my speech when ive been elected, and looks like that fits well with the new face of the NT.
It was great win, and the best performance that i ever saw from the NT since i took over as the new NC.
The best players today? Papanikos 8-11 3pt 4 as 20points. His Sub Lavdas came also big 6-10 15 points, Pikoulas from the bench at PF 6-12 17 points 11 rebs and as always Kaliasis 5-7, 13points 8 rebs and teams high 5 assists.
Next game is against Azərbaycan, a decent team, but no way can scare us.
