blah in my 1st game this week my PG trainee got 47 mins because he got 5 fouls and the coach took him out 1 minute.
How much training will he get with 1 to few minutes will it be close to max?

The problem is that the coach never takes training into consideration. I had a game where there was absolutely no reason to take out one of my players for 1 minute!!! except that we were winning by a large margin. I even setup the player as starter/bench/reserve. The problem arose when I forgot about a player that wasn't set anywhere and he ended up taking up the minute. There should be a check box or something that you can checkoff that says this player is playing for minutes(training) then the coach will not substitute unless he fouls out or is injured.

You have to always be aware that you are never guaranteed anything in this game. If you want to train someone for 48 minutes, make sure that they play in most of your games at least in a backup role so that you go into the game already having 18 or 20 minutes on your trainee. Smart minute management is the solution to the >48 minute problem, not added game control. That is what makes this game so awesome!

Well, so far I've always managed to give guys 48 minutes when I wanted to.
Except for the very very few occasions when he was fouled out or injured.

Even in blowouts, they're not substituted... example? (22440625) PG and SG

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

ya he picked up his 5th foul and was taken out for 1 min, I dont know maybe he was mad and the coach thought it was best to get him out so he didnt lose his cool lol. I am sure the loss in training wont be to much even if it is 10% that isnt so bad.

:D

This is like saying I always win when I want to except for the few occasions when I lose!

It's not.
What I did say is that the Engine/Coach doesn't substitute my trainees when I set the lineup properly.
Of course you can't do anything against a player being fouled out or injured.

That's two completely different things.
