it took me five minutes to find this player on your squad -- i thought it was rush hour at Grand Central. whatever you do with ellington, i recommend you trim your squad -- before you do that, figure out (a) what kind of team will you have when you keep the best / most useful 12 - 14 players and then (b) how would ellington fit into that team?

the quickest way -- one that would probably be successful in div. V -- is work on jump shot (JS), jump range (Outside shooting), and driving (One on One). If you are thinking long range, then you need players to get him the ball (Passing); he becomes more valuable if he can play defense (Pressure, some Handling); and teammates that can do their fair share (play defense, rebound, pass, and occasionally shoot).
The game is changing -- be prepared for a substantially higher level of competition with each rise in division level. Don't neglect revenue demands (arena expansions). You want to have as good a trainer as you can reasonably afford. And scouting may be a cheap way to procure prospects.
Good luck.

I would say that "advanced" is quite good for a division V team. Level 5 (and above) trainers are becoming more and more expensive to obtain—for teams of any division
