Is there a way for me to adjust the minutes i want each player to play?
and have my coach try to play my players around the minutes I suggested?

That option isn't available. Using strictly follow depth chart u can learn around how many minutes they play but even then it depends on other factors such as the game situation.

On an ideological ground, won't we in the future be able to manage minutes more precisely? I know it depends on a lot of stuff, but for example, in this year's NBA finals Jameer Nelson and Rafer Alston split minutes in 2 or 3 games. Alston would play quarters 1 and 3, Nelson would play 2 and 4. But I reckon this would hurt some interesting aspects of this game, like the need of carefully managing lineups to maximize minutes and training

Yeah i play some other online basketball games where you can set the lineup by quarter. Be a bit boring if all my games were the same so although managing minutes can be frustrating i see it as a challenging part of the game.

Managing minutes is expected to be challenging. Don't expect this to change in the future.
