both.. When defending an inside shot he uses inside def. and outside for an outside shot.

Both but outside defense is more important, see newbie help thread: (3944.03)

I would love to know u r opinion about the good SF. SF position is a big hole to my roster, so i am looking to buy 1, but i am struggling to find a good player even with 3.5M that i have. Looks like that those real all around players there price tag starts around 5M

Well one option is if u play an inside tactic you could get a SF with better inside skills and if u play an outside tactic get someone with better outside skills. Could use this method till u can afford a '5 million guy'. I think its important whoever u get has good ID and OD. His shooting skills can fit what tactic u play.

What about him as an inside tactics SF?

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: awful Handling: pitiful
Driving: mediocre Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: sensational Inside Def.: proficient
Rebounding: prolific Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: average

I'm just guessing here, anticipating an answer from those who know what they are talking about -- but it is my experience that this guy's OD is so bad that he may well end up giving up as many points as he scored -- I could see opposing SFs with a decent outside shot salivating at the chance to play this guy. He would also hurt on 3-2 and 1-3-1 zones, I would think.

Now let the pros answer.

i think Hassan is right, for me first priority of a SF had both defences, because you can not choose how your opponent attack and also hiding in a Zone didn#t clear all wekaesses in that area.

Jumpshot is the attack who you always need, independent from your focus, if you play LI i would recommend passing and IS as additionell strong offense skill. For outside Focus the range become pretty usefull. But you shouldn't be that week in the offensiv skill, like he was in Range.

Additional very usefull skill ist Rebounding.

If you don't want to pbuy a 5 Million player, i would looking for a SG with high ID or a PF with high OD and apsssing(this one is harder to find, maybe you had to train a bit od with him), depending on your tactics they play on their "main" position or on SF.
